The roads we take

(photo @spasmicallyperfect)

You chase yellow leafs
floating through the Autumn air
running after dreams no one beliefs in anymore.
But you don’t care.

You hide your tears in the rain
and catch the sunshine with your hands.
No life worthless, nothing in vain
you fight for those who are written off too soon.

Some think you are crazy, some think naive,
you laugh with them, convinced they’ll wake up some day
when their carefully crafted maps no longer can explain
where they are nor indicate how to proceed.

“You are different”, I say,
To which you shake your head and smile:
“I just got here earlier than most,
it’s all a matter of the roads we take.”

  3. I have these conversations… and here the same wisdom… and know the same knowledge… it is sometimes left in the darkness… where others can not see or mock… you know of what I speak… you are a light… so let us take these roads and no matter where they will lead… it will be home… thank you for the beautiful words Spaz
