Faded

See you in a minute
You said to me
Just before you left
Never to return.

It’s hopeless waiting
Cause like the Jasmine bush
You aren’t meant
To bloom this side of the equator

And even if your scent
Lingers fondly
In past memories
It will fade some day

Until there’s nothing left
But dried out blossoms
That will eventually
Turn from brown to dust.

Yep, but I do suffer from short term memory 😉 ……giggle…..

  2. Nice

Thanks Dave, glad you enjoyed it. Based on your blog seems to me you’re a movie and poem lover….will have to spend a little more time…. take care and hope to see you again….. SP

  3. love how you visually and conceptually weave in the beautiful jasmine…

    sweet.

Thank you. This one got started because a lady sat down next to me in the train and smelled of Jasmine. It brought back lots of memories…..I am glad it worked out – the weave-in I mean.
