Reawaken

A gentle breeze sways

The lonely bird sitting

On a naked tree branch.

Can you see the winter leaving?

Is spring on its way?

The heavenly artist has found

New liking in calming blues

While his earthly counterpart

Is gradually removing the reds

From the blend that paints the ground.

How fortunate am I

Sitting on this weatherworn wood bench

To reawake for yet another year

To the sounds of nature’s orchestra

Still softly whispering

But soon pulling everything

into its natural flow.

  1. Spaz,
I love the picture, which I’m certain you took yourself and the sentiment. I think you captured very nicely those stirrings that we all feel when Spring is in the offing and we are aching just a little bit for it to come faster.

I’ve been reading Wordsworth lately and I just absolutely love how he could pull wonderful lines out of one moment of sitting in a field. I love to slow down life that much and see the abundance that already exists in a blink of an eye. Guess that’s why I never tire of reading a 500 plus page book, that spends 2 pages on full on describing one room. Well, we all have our crazy sides, right? 🙂
