Thanksgiving thoughts

The golden Autumn sun has painted the leafs,
And like worn out thoughts of mine, the wind honours them
with one last beautiful dance as they give up individuality
Leaving room for new hopeful pram kings and queens.

There is no sadness or worry of being forgotten
As they break up and merge with the air, the earth, life.
Although their visual image will change,
Their spirit has joined a higher purpose.

  1. And like worn out thoughts of mine, the wind honours them…
    I love that line.
Interesting how transient our thoughts really are.
