Skeleton key

We tend to look for the easy answer,
The skeleton key to all of life’s mysteries.
As we follow external rules of various origins,
It doesn’t add up, so we make it fit,
Giving up the search for something greater.
And yet the answer lies within us,
Planted inside of each and everyone.
Before it can grow, we need to find it,
We need to nurture it with times of quiet reflection,
We need to water it with tears of hope,
The sooner we can look within us,
And set free the love for ourselves,
The sooner the rest of the world will merge.

  1. Compassion, creativity, love; all come from the inside out, not the other way around.
    Brilliant observation.
