I miss you

As seasons change,
so do people,
so do relationships.
We are left with the option
of mourning what no longer is
or embracing what is there to come
once the stormy winds and cold nights have passed
and the next spring arrives,
just like the years before,
with new flowers ready to bloom.
Still, as I am sitting here,
Spring seems a long way away,
Although my internal sunshine tries to stop the heart from sinking,
it does.
Like a rock thrown into a dark deep lake,
It is too heavy, at least for today.
But somehow I know,
that I won’t have to wait until spring
like the flowers.

    Beautiful. Love that line.
Internal sunshine can be hard to come by somedays.

  2. Well, it’s kinda like your Mother Theresa quote. It’s there, it’s just a matter of knowing how to handle it sometimes.
