A new season
As the sun descends on Labour day I can’t help but ignore a feeling of change. In previous years, this last long weekend of summer brought out nostalgia in me. But this year is different. It may be due to the sweltering heat we had this weekend. Or, because I’m ready for a new season.
So much has happened in the last 2-3 weeks that has shaken my entire foundation. Some things started out small and ended up in major revelations, other things started with a roaring thunder, raging winds and rain falls and eventually settled into a serene calm.
One of the things I’ve learnt in the last weeks is to focus my eyes on the horizon. The horizon changes slowly, it gives us peace, stability and ample time to prepare what is to come. Especially in our fast changing immediate environment it seems to be the only way to remain calm – and sane – as life keeps bumping into us. I suggest you try it in the next week (not while driving); as you walk down streets or in parks, look for the furthest point you can see. Keep doing that and watch your view change.
Oh and to Tash: Happy Birthday Girl! May this year bring some more hard earned wisdom
.

In proverbs it talks about the wise woman prepares for the seasons.
It is good to understand how ones perspective changes and how our awareness of the changes effect us.
Thank you
Welcome my friend.
yes, you’re right. it gives us space to keep our eye on the horizon – and in that space we can create. miss you, spaz.

Sarah, you’ve been writing such wonderful things, there couldn’t have been too much time to miss me!
Thanks for being patient. Hugs, S.
You speak of change and I believe you understand it better than you know… the horizon is an ever changing reality as is your soul… you are wiser to see it.. things will settle and when they do… look upon the horizon for your dreams… they change too
Hope you have a peaceful weekend
Enreal. It was a peaceful weekend and it being Friday tomorrow, just shows me how lazy I’ve become lately. Sorry. Things will settle. Yes, in the good sense of the word they will. Been there done that, and you are right, dreams change too. Take care Enreal, as always. S.
“as life keeps bumping into us”

And I love it.
