Nostalgic, loyal or scared to change? Either way emotional…

I got this blog as a present for my birthday a couple of years back. A good friend of mine set it up for me, delusional enough to think that the world needed another blog writer, that it deserved to see what I write.
The ‘Spasmically Perfect’ which was meant to be ‘Spazmically perfect’ (as in goof-ish rather than jerk-ish) and was my answer to a question he asked me a long time ago: “What is the person like, the person you want to be?”
So he took it, created this blog, chose the template, chose the header phrase, added some things I had written him in previous e-mails and handed it over with the following instructions:
“Do with it what you like: delete it, change it, add to it, it’s all up to you from here on.”
Obviously, I didn’t delete it and other than add posts and play around with the widgets, I haven’t changed a thing. Often when visiting other blogs, I hardly recognise them, they’ve changed their entire appearance, went from white to dark background, from quiet to noisy, from monochromatic to paisley. Some just change the pictures in the headers. “That’s cool”, I hear myself saying. I come back here, look for that template, try it out.
But I never change it. Popular blogger geniuses hold me lectures on how much more I could get out of my blog hits, if I just…….
It doesn’t matter. I still end up sticking to what I started out with.
Cause it just feels like coming home. And I just can’t mess with that.
I hate popular blogger geniuses and their quest for the almighty increased % of hits. I love your blog.
Thank you. Yes, we can’t all be loved by everybody, hey? (Poor popular blogger geniuses….
)
And you’ve done wonderful with it, MsSpaaaaz!!
Please, continue.
Thanks Red! No worries, I’m way too hooked to go anywhere……
Change your blog if you want, but please don’t ever change yourself.

Ahh… thank you. I’ll take that as a compliment.
Oh, forgot to mention: I love the picture! Manet? (Or is it Monet? I always get them confused.)
